Good to Better is currently open to meeting occupational therapists that may be interested in joining our team. A good fit for Good to Better is an occupational therapist who:

• Is interested in community-based occupational therapy.
• Has an interest in either being a rural generalist or developing skills in one or more of; adult disability, aged care or mental health.
• Prioritises sustainability. We have reasonable KPIs which are reflected in our wage rates.
• Openness to working within various funding systems, including NDIS, DVA and other funding streams.
• Fits with the values of Good to Better; connection; integrity; changing lives, and; sustainability (people and the environment before profits, while also keeping the organisation viable).
• Willingness to engage in out-of-the-box thinking, including customising solutions and using occupation-based therapies (e.g., adventure, rural activities) where appropriate.

Good to Better is highly flexible with regards to hours, days and work-from-home options. We have found that new staff are more likely to succeed:

• Starting part-time and increasing hours as their confidence and caseload increases. This allows for staff to be supported as well as possible by our principle occupational therapist, with increasing autonomy over time.
• Willingness to be at our Imbil location at least one day per week. This supports a sense of belonging in the team as well as supporting caseloads in our local community and surrounds.
